Convention Hall, Con Da Vien island on Perfume River | City of Hue, Vietnam 2018 | Master Plan & Architecture Concept Design | Programing, Scheduling.

PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT Ljupce Jovanovski, M. Arch.

Amazing location of Co Da Vien island on a Perfume River in the very heart of city of Hue. Island itself is overlooking Đại Nội Citadel that was the seat of Nguyen Dynasty emperors and the national capital from 1802 to 1945. It encompasses the Imperial City, with palaces and shrines; the Forbidden Purple City (Tử cấm thành), once the emperor’s home.

Within Project among other components, we developed Convention Center that would be major City and Development destination - Multifunctional Hall that could be the venue of broad cultural significance. We developed the center that could host concerts, fashion shows, exhibitions, conferences, sport matches, cinema, banquets and other events. It featured Public Plaza in front of Main Grand Entrance and entire landscape was pretty much homage to Vietnamese culture and heritage, from bamboo forest to rice terraces and the system of re-circulated reflective pools...
